Hi kyle, I know how youre feeling.
What works best for me is to just play when I feeling for it.. most of the times even if it´s just for 5minutes i come up with something I like then the next time maybe something else that may or may not fit.
the days I´m free and thinking, “today I´m gonna write music” it all stands still.
